Break out of the winter doldrums with the Winter Lecture Series at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve. This acclaimed annual series takes place at the Preserve's Visitor Center on Sunday afternoons in January and February. Accomplished lecturers talk about a wide range of topics related to ecological landscaping, natural history and gardening with native plants for wildlife. The speakers highlight native plants and native habitats, offering practical ideas for "greener" gardening in the home landscape and beyond. Previous slide presentations have included native milkweeds for monarchs, creating a wildlife habitat, hardy terrestrial native orchids, amphibians in the garden and managing invasive earthworms.
