Winter Lecture Series
Shake off the winter doldrums by joining us for our annual WinterBody Photo Lecture Series, featuring slide presentations by fascinating speakers every Sunday afternoon in January and February. Expert lecturers address contemporary issues in ecology, biodiversity, plant conservation, public gardens, home gardening, land use, environmental degradation and related topics.

Land Ethics Symposium
Dig into the nitty-gritty of native plants and related ecological issues. This annual daylong native plant symposium (in late February or early March) is geared toward the professional landscape industry, including landscape architects and designers, land planners and managers, contractors, gardeners, environmental consultants, and state/ municipal officials. The Symposium features presentations by regional experts and opportunities to develop contacts with colleagues from the mid-Atlantic region.

Earth Day Observance/Volunteer Day
Celebrate Earth Day with hands-on activity at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve, held on the Saturday of Earth Week Observance. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Help rejuvenate the Preserve's beautiful natural environment while enjoying the spring air. Choose from a variety of activities, including cleaning up the grounds, removing invasive plants; and planting native grasses and wildflowers. A delicious lunch is provided.
