Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve is a wonderful place for
people to visit. There are many different opportunities for
volunteering at the Preserve throughout the year. You can
help in the followingareas:
Seasonal Groundskeeping - Help
the Preserve with the upkeep of the property on weekdays.
Tasks can include planting, weeding, mowing, trail clean-up
and repairs, and floodgate maintenance.
Seasonal Propagation - Assist
our Nursery Manager on weekdays with preparing for our Plant
Sales, transplanting seedlings, cleaning seed, labeling plants,
data entry and clean-up and maintenance of the propagation
area.
Twinleaf Shop - Greet and orient
visitors, answer incoming phone calls and sell shop merchandise
in our popular Twinleaf Shop.
Education - Become a tour guide!
After special training, our docent naturalists lead public
and private tours and programs here at the Preserve.
Year-round Administration -
Lend a hand with mailings and general office help.
Public Relations - Assist our
Director of Communications with various aspects of PR, including
developing new contacts, updating PR lists and linking with
other websites.
Special Events - Volunteers
are especially needed to provide a wide variety of support
services during the Preserve's special events including Community
