Development Assistant

The Development Assistant plays an important role by providing administrative support to the expanding Development program at the Preserve. The Assistant supports all fundraising activities including donor and public relations, direct mail appeals, annual fund, membership, and special events. Responsible for soliciting new memberships, renewals, and administering member benefits. The Assistant maintains the donor database, processes all charitable contributions, and prepares acknowledgement letters and donor correspondence in a timely manner.

Reporting to the Development Director, the Assistant supports the Development Office in achieving the annual and long-term fundraising and philanthropic goals of the Preserve. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the Preserve’s mission, with the ability to work 20 hours weekly Monday-Friday. Bachelor’s degree with two or more years of relevant experience and Raiser’s Edge or similar database experience is preferred.
