to Support
If you wish, your gift to Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve
can be designated to support a specific area or project including:
Memorial benches - Do you have a special
person that you would like to memorialize in a unique and
long-lasting way? The Preserve offers several handsome memorial
benches that can be fitted with a bronze plaque to remember
that special person in your life. What better way to remember
a loved one than a bench set among the tranquility of wildflowers
at the Preserve?
Audio Visual Fund - In the
spring of 2002 the Preserve received an anonymous gift of
$1,000 from a visionary donor. The gift was designated as
seed money to start an audio-visual fund. It is the hope of
this generous donor that the members of Bowman's Hill Wildflower
Preserve will add to the fund so that the Preserve can purchase
much needed A.V. equipment for our informative educational
programs. We have so much to offer the public and it is critical
that our presentations are crisp and exciting. We hope you
will join us in contributing to this important effort so that
the Preserve can improve its presentation technology.
Memorial Plantings - Gifts
designated for memorial plantings will be used to enhance
the Preserve through additional plantings of native shrubs
and trees. Your gift will be recorded in the Memory Book,
which cites the gift giver's name, who or what the memorial
planting is in memory of, and a short message or poem to remember
the special event or loved one.
Intern Support - Each year
the Preserve supports several interns who spend the summer
at the Preserve learning about wildflowers, assisting the
grounds crew with planting, and learning about conservation
issues. The Preserve is passionate about spreading the word
concerning native plants, and our interns are one of the most
effective ways of getting that message across. Your gift to
the Intern Endowment Fund will help to train a new generation
of wildflower enthusiasts, and represents a lifetime gift
of knowledge and experience to the interns who study at the
Preserve.
