Winter Lecture Series: Season Ticket Special

New Hope, Pennsylvania – Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve's 2006 Winter Lecture Series features a slide presentation by a regionally renowned expert on Sunday afternoons from 2 to 3 p.m., January 8 through February 26. This year's series includes lectures on a wide range of topics related to ecological landscaping, natural history and gardening with native plants for wildlife habitat.

All lectures are held at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve Visitor Center , located at 1635 River Road (PA Rt. 32), 2.5 miles south of New Hope , Pennsylvania and convenient to I-95. For further directions, click here or call (215) 862-2924.

Fee: Members and students: $8.00 per lecture*; Non-members: $10.00 per lecture*.

* Special January 8 lecture offered FREE, compliments of Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve.

Memberships can be purchased upon arrival at any lecture as well as daily at the Preserve. Pre-registration accepted, call (215) 862-2924. Walk-ins welcome as space permits. Winter lecture fees include admission to the Preserve.

Members and students: $45 (Full price: $56); Non-members: $56 (Full price: $70)

This year Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve is offering special pricing to members and non-members who buy a book of tickets for the complete lecture series. This is a great way to save money and support the Preserve's educational programs. Each ticket entitles the holder to one admission per lecture. Ticket books may be purchased in advance by calling the Preserve at (215) 862-2924 , or ticket books may be purchased at the door. Seating for all lectures is general admission, so please arrive early to get the seat of your choice.

Before or after the lecture, enjoy a walk on trails through our woods, meadows, along Pidcock Creek and a pond. In the Visitor Center , pick up free trail maps, watch birds from the comfort of indoors, enjoy exhibits, get free information about gardening with native plants, and peruse books in our library. The Visitor Center also is home to the Platt Museum of mounted birds, nests and eggs, and the Twinleaf Shop, where nature-themed books and t-shirts can be purchased.
