Sat. 2/25 Find Nature in Your Backyard-For all ages
I Saw a Bald Eagle Soaring Over My Grocery Store
New Hope, Pennsylvania – Join best-selling children’s author and Bucks County native, Jane Kirkland on Saturday February 25 from 1 to 2 p.m. for an interactive, compelling family program that will inspire you to seek and appreciate nature close to home. When Jane spied a bald eagle soaring over her grocery store parking lot, she set out to see what other nature discoveries she might make in her neighborhood, her local park and her own backyard.
These discoveries became the basis for Jane’s award-winning Take A Walk ® books and for this family program. Jane has been featured on Animal Planet, National Public Radio and is a regular guest on WXPN’s Kids Corner. Her books have received numerous national awards including the Teachers Choice Award for 2006 and are endorsed by Animal Planet, the National Science Teachers Association and the National Gardening Association. Following her program, Jane will be available to sign books.
The fee for non-members is $9 adult/$7 child and the fee for Preserve members is $7 adult/$5 child. Space is limited. Pre-registration required by Friday, February 24; call the Preserve at (215) 862-2924.
