Spring Garden Gala “Wild about Flowers”

New Hope, PA - Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve will host its third fundraising gala to benefit the conservation and educational programs of the Preserve on Saturday April 29th, 2006 from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. Come to an evening of elegance in the woods, where native plants like bluebells, trillium and spring beauty will be in breathtaking bloom.

To lend a fun tone to this unique evening, recommended attire is “black tie (optional) and muck boots” or other footwear suited for an enchanted walk through the Preserve. The Spring Garden Gala will delight garden connoisseurs, conservation and preservation advocates, and nature enthusiasts by showcasing the Preserve and its extraordinary collection of native Pennsylvania flora flourishing in a naturalistic setting.

The evening will include a live and silent auction. Highlights of the live auction include an extraordinary international eco-tour trip, a Bucks County flyover accompanied by dinner and accommodations at premier local venues, a day in Washington from the office of Congressman Michael Fitzpatrick (Eighth District) and tours of exceptional private properties. Notable vendors will offer rare and exceptional plants, uncommon garden statuaries and antiques for purchase.

Cocktails and dinner will be presented by Max and Me, with Dixieland music performed by the Independence Hall Jazz Band. Classical guitar music played by Luke Homer will greet guests at the end of their stroll.
