Sixth Annual Land Ethics Symposium:
“Creative Approaches for Ecological Landscaping”
New Hope, Pennsylvania – Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve will sponsor its Sixth Annual Land Ethics Symposium: “Creative Approaches for Ecological Landscaping” on Thursday, February 16, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The Symposium will be held at the newly renovated Sheraton Bucks County Hotel in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, convenient to I-95.
The Preserve is pleased to acknowledge the co-sponsors of the 2006 Symposium: Andropogon Associates, Solebury Township, County of Bucks Office of the Commissioners, Eco-Bound, Inc. and the PA/DE Chapter of American Society of Landscape Architects.
This informative and inspiring Symposium focuses on ways to create low-maintenance, economical and ecologically balanced landscapes using native plants and restoration techniques.
The Symposium is geared toward landscape architects, designers, contractors and other members of the landscape/horticulture industry, environmental consultants, land planners, managers and developers, and state/municipal officials.
Continuing education units are available for landscape architects, landscape designers and other landscape and horticulture professionals.
Attendees also will have opportunities to develop contacts with colleagues and share resources. A selection of topical books from the Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve Twinleaf Shop will be available for purchase, and several authors will be available to sign their books.
The fee for the Symposium is $90, which includes a continental breakfast, refreshment break and lunch. The full-time student rate is $60. Pre-registration is required. Deadline for receipt of registration and payment is Thursday, February 6, 2006.
