Grow Your Own Native Plants
New Hope, Pennsylvania - Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve's 2007 Native Plant Seed Catalog is now available. The 2007 Catalog offers 117 species of Pennsylvania native plants for sale. Many of these species also are native to other states in the mid-Atlantic region.
The Catalog includes information about germination requirements, common and scientific name, species characteristics and growing conditions. All of our seed is open-pollinated, air-dried and guaranteed to be true to species name.
Most of the species offered in this Catalog can be expected to perform well under varied garden conditions, but some knowledge of a plant's natural habitat will help you grow it more successfully. Germination periods and percentages will vary due to environmental and genetic factors. The Preserve does not conduct germination tests and can only guarantee that seed packets are labeled correctly. Seed of some plants is available in limited quantities.
