Visit the Preserve - the Ideal Antidote to Holiday Stress

New Hope, Pennsylvania – Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve is the perfect place to restore your spirit, connect with nature and de-stress. Located in Bucks County just minutes from the bustling shops and restaurants of New Hope, the Preserve offers a tranquil contrast, where you will be immediately transported into a natural experience. Bring family, friends or come on your own.

The Preserve is open daily year-round for your enjoyment, even during the winter months. (Closed only on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.) The Visitor Center is open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; the grounds are open from 8:30 a.m. to sunset.

The Preserve’s 100-acre site offers trails through woods, meadows, along Pidcock Creek and a pond. In this naturalistic setting, nearly 1000 species of Pennsylvania native plants thrive. The Preserve is the premier destination for seeing and learning about these plants. The site also is a prime location for bird-watching and photography.

In the Visitor Center, pick up free trail maps, watch birds from the comfort of indoors, enjoy wildflower videos and exhibits, get free information about gardening with native plants, and browse through our library. Discover the Platt Museum of mounted birds, nests and eggs, and the Twinleaf Shop, where nature-themed books, field guides, t-shirts, polo shirts and sweatshirts can be purchased.

Out on the trails, enjoy a peaceful walk on the trails while enjoying vistas visible only in winter through the sculptural framework of the trees. Look for the birds that winter over in the protection of the native forest.

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve is located on 1635 River Road (PA Route 32), 2 ½ miles south of New Hope in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and convenient to I-95.

Admission fee: Non-members: Adults-$5, Seniors (62+)-$3, Children 4 through 14-$2, under 4-free. Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve members: Free.
