SPRING GARDEN GALA “WILD about FLOWERS”
New Hope, Pennsylvania – Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve will host its second Spring Garden Gala “Wild about Flowers” on Saturday April 30th, 2005 from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. This fundraising gala will benefit the conservation and educational programs of the Preserve. Come to an evening of elegance in the woods, where native plants such as bluebells, trillium and spring beauty will be in full bloom.
In a unique twist on the typical dressy affair, recommended attire is “black tie (optional) and muck boots” or similar apparel suited for a walk through the woods. The Spring Garden Gala will delight garden connoisseurs, conservation and preservation advocates, and nature enthusiasts by showcasing the Preserve and its extraordinary collection of native Pennsylvania flora flourishing in a naturalistic setting.
Guests will journey through the Preserve on a Wildflower Safari, searching for rare and unusual native plants and enjoying the company of wildflower experts. Live and silent auctions will include distinctive, exceptional and rare plants, also available for purchase. Notable vendors will offer uncommon garden statuaries and antiques. Cocktails and dinner will be presented by Max and Me, with musical performances by the Independence Hall Jazz Band and harpist by Libby White.
