With a different theme each day, kids will discover the habitats, native plants, animals and insects that make Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve so special. Games, hikes, stories and nature crafts will add to the fun of exploring the Preserve, an unparalleled Bucks County treasure.
The camp will be held at Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve, located just south of New Hope, Pennsylvania, in Bucks County. The 100-acre Preserve features trails winding through picturesque woodlands and meadows, and along a pond and Pidcock Creek. Within this naturalistic setting, a changing array of native wildflowers, trees, and shrubs, birds and wildlife are sure to fascinate the kids and provide them with new experiences each day.
The pond is a favorite of youngsters. In the summer, painted turtles bask in the sun on logs jutting up from the water. Frogs call out from among the aquatic plants, inviting a closer look for a glimpse as they poke their heads above water or suddenly jump high into the air. Dragonflies flitting above the pond seem to sparkle as they catch sunlight on their wings.
