Fall Native Plant Sale

New Hope, Pennsylvania - Native plants enable you to create a visually beautiful and nature-friendly landscape, and the Fall Native Plant Sale at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve is the place to purchase them. The Preserve, known for the diverse collection of native plants on its grounds, will offer for sale more than 200 species of high-quality native wildflowers, vines, ferns, shrubs and trees. All plants are nursery-propagated; none are gathered from the wild.

The Fall Native Plant Sale will be held at the Visitor Center area of the Preserve on two consecutive weekends: Saturday, September 6 & Sunday, September 7 and Saturday, September 13 & Sunday, September 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Admission to the Plant Sale and parking are free. Plants also will be available during the week between the sale weekends.

Knowledgeable staff and volunteers will be on hand to help you choose the most suitable plants for your site and to answer questions. Free resource material is available, including lists of plants for specific growing conditions. If you prefer, you can to download these plant lists online in advance of the sale.

Fall is an ideal time for transplanting native plants. Conditions are favorable for new plantings to settle in before winter and you'll get a jump on next year's garden. Fall also is a perfect time to fill in the gaps in your garden as well as to expand your native plantings.
