PSI Professional Services

Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve (BHWP) is offering the following educational programs and services tailored to educating and assisting individuals and organizations who want to learn how to use the PSI and to take full advantage of the potential of this multi-faceted analytical tool for land management and stewardship.

To arrange for PSI services, contact the PSI Coordinator, (215) 862-2924, or email psi@bhwp.org

Specimen I.D. Services
For organizations or individuals doing their own surveys, BHWP can identify specific plants at a cost of $7.50 per specimen. Instructions for collecting and packing specimens are available from the PSI Coordinator, (215) 862-2924, psi@bhwp.org.

Full Plant Stewardship Index Site Survey
For organizations in need of full PSI assessment services, BHWP will arrange for experts trained in the PSI methodology to survey current vegetation in a given area. BHWP will provide an analysis and MeanC/Index calculations derived from the survey with a full written report, as well as an online account on the PSI section of the BHWP website.

BHWP will provide this service at a billed rate of $300 per half day and $600 per full day, plus transportation. Please note that if there are a large number of plants that require identification through botanical keys, such as grasses and sedges, surveys may require additional time.
